This notice explains what information Stryva collects, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. It covers all of our services, including building and revamping websites, SEO, and building and running automations.

Who we are

The two roles we play

When people enquire with us, or become our own clients, Stryva is the "data controller" for that information, meaning we decide how and why it is used.

When we deliver services for a client, such as building or running their website, SEO, or automations, we may process personal data belonging to that client's own customers or contacts. In that case, we act as a "data processor" on the client's behalf. The client remains the data controller for their customers' data, and that processing is governed by a separate agreement between Stryva and the client (a Data Processing Agreement), not by this notice.

Information we collect

  • Enquiry and contact information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number and message details.
  • Information needed to deliver our services to clients, such as project details, account access clients grant us, and content and assets.
  • Website and analytics data. When you visit our site, and where applicable client sites we build or manage, we may collect standard analytics and use cookies to understand usage and improve performance.

How we use information

We use information to respond to enquiries, to provide and operate our services (websites, SEO and automations), to communicate with clients, to improve our services, and to meet our legal obligations.

Lawful bases

We rely on different lawful bases under UK GDPR depending on why we use your information:

  • Contract: where processing is necessary to provide the services you have requested, or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
  • Legitimate interests: where necessary to operate and improve our business, respond to enquiries, communicate with clients, and protect our services, provided your rights do not override those interests.
  • Legal obligation: where we need to process or retain information to comply with applicable law.
  • Consent: where we specifically ask for your consent to process your information for a particular purpose. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

Automations and AI

We build and operate automated workflows that process data in order to function, for example following up leads, syncing records between systems, and sending messages. Some of these workflows may use AI providers. Where we do this for a client, it is carried out under that client's instructions and the separate agreement described above.

Service providers

We use trusted third party tools to deliver our services. These may include hosting, CRM, messaging, analytics, automation platforms and AI providers. These providers process data on our behalf, under appropriate terms.

Calls

We may record or transcribe calls where this is disclosed to you at the time of the call.

Cookies and analytics

Our website does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics that profile you. The site loads fonts and an animation library from external providers so it displays correctly, and these do not track you across websites. If we introduce non-essential cookies or analytics in future, we will update this notice and ask for your consent before setting them where required. You can control or block cookies at any time through your browser settings.

Retention

We keep information only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this notice, or as required by law.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you may have a number of rights over your information depending on the circumstances, including rights to access, rectify, erase or restrict the use of your information, object to certain processing, and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@stryva.co.uk.

If Stryva processes your data on behalf of one of our clients, you should usually contact that client, as they are the data controller, first. We will support them in responding to your request.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
